Hoya carnosa ‘Krimson Queen’ is a true queen in her own right with dark green leaves with a creamy outer variegation on the leaves. New growth comes in varying tones of pink which fades to dark green and cream over time as the new leaves mature.
This is a great Hoya for beginners. If you are looking to share with your plant friends, then the Krimson Queen is a great option for you to purchase. Variegation on each leaf is different. Sometimes all white leaves will grow out, and you will want to cut those back because they will not help your plant grow because they have no chlorophyll to help the plant photosynthesize. If you see all-white leaves growing in, then I recommend cutting the vine back to a node where the green and white leaves are growing to encourage the plant to continue to grow in its normal growth pattern.
